Welcome to Carrie’s Iere Cottages (Carrie’s) situated in the quaint Village of Lake George in the foothills of the Adirondacks. We are four blocks from the Queen of American Lakes, Lake George. A lake of beautiful, pristine water.
We are a small, intimate, family run facility geared to making your stay stress free, enjoyable and relaxing.We have just six one and two bedroom cottages and a swimming pool 20 x 40 on .70 acres situate at 41 Caldwell Avenue. Our cottages are rustic yet comfortable with a full kitchen, shower and a porch to relax in and enjoy the night air.
Tall, old shady trees overhang the cottages making them cool and giving that woodsy feel. We have tried to create a family oriented resort with facilities geared primarily for individuals, couples and small families.
The Lake George Area
Lake George is in the foothills of the Adirondacks. Lake George is fantastic. There is the lake, the mountains, the air. The area is a well-known resort center and summer colony. Lake George itself, the queen of American lakes, is 32 miles long and 3 miles wide. Much of the shoreline is unsettled and through Federal and State conservation efforts, will remain so. Small communities surround the lake. The village of Lake George is the chief of these. It has a total area of only 1.6km2 or 0.6 mi2 but it offers the largest mix of attractions namely, restaurants, shops, night life, fishing, boat rentals, swimming, parasailing, waterskiing, miniature golf, hiking, biking and game arcades. It is the hub of the resort center.
We are three blocks from the main strip Canada Street. Close enough for you to partake of it's busy atmosphere but far enough away to provide you with a retreat and sanctuary at the end of a long and busy day or just a place to relax, away from it all.
Lake George has consistently been named as one of the top five places in the Nation for fun, affordable family vacations by Smart Money Magazine. In addition to the activities listed above other family entertainments include The Great Escape and Splashwater Kingdom, a Six Flags theme park with rides, slides, shows, and the comet roller coaster among the top ten for wooden roller coaster enthusiasts; Waterslide World; Magic Forests; Skateland and The Center for Go-Carts. Trolleys provide cheap transport throughout the resort area
Each cottage comprises a separate kitchenette fully equipped with refrigerator, electric stove, appliances pots & pans, crystal and dinner ware with a cozy dining area, bedroom, private bath and a screened porch.
We occupy a two bedroom house on the premises so we are available to satisfy your needs.

Our cottage type facility offers the best of all worlds. One can prepare meals in the fully equipped kitchens or eat out. Our facility is three blocks from Canada Street, the main street of the village and home to many fine restaurants, pubs, pizza shops, cafes and coffee shops.
One can relax at one of the two fine beaches on the lake both a short walk away. There is always something to do or not do. A tour of the lake on one of 4 steamboats, parasailing, fishing, swimming, walking, hiking, shopping or just sitting by the lake enjoying the ambiance, relaxing in one’s cottage watching cable TV or just dreaming.
